Nakakono Coffee:

A Journey of Passion and Excellence

Nestled in the rich, verdant soils of Nakakono village, our story begins with Dr. Raphael, a visionary physician whose lifelong dream of cultivating the land resurfaced amidst his global medical journey. From the bustling cultures of diverse countries to the allure of agronomy, his odyssey led him to the lush embrace of Nakakono village.

Initially drawn to the idea of cultivating rice, destiny intervened when he discovered a hidden gem within the village—the exceptional coffee produced by its soil. Inspired by this revelation, Nakakono Coffee was born, embodying a commitment to excellence and a deep respect for the land.

Dr. Raphael's dedication went beyond mere cultivation; it extended to the intricate balance of nature. Realizing the vital role bees play in this delicate ecosystem, he introduced a thriving beekeeping program, fostering a community of over a million bees and planting over 16000 Calliandra trees to sustain them. This harmonious approach not only enhanced the coffee's quality but also enriched the land.

The journey was not without its challenges. Enduring through climate adversities, droughts, and agricultural trials, the farm's perseverance bore fruit in 2021, yielding a coffee of unparalleled quality. This dedication was recognized globally, earning accolades such as the gold award from the Japan Food Awards and the prestigious Superior Quality Awards from the International Taste Institute in Belgium.

However, Nakakono Coffee's success is not measured solely in awards but in the transformative impact it has had on its community. The company's ethos of empowerment and support has uplifted the lives of its stakeholders, from providing education and shelter to the local youth to offering employment opportunities and unfettered access to the land for communal sustenance.

Today, Nakakono Coffee is savored in the UK, USA, Bermuda, Spain, Martinique, and beyond, sharing the taste of passion, perseverance, and the vibrant spirit of Nakakono village with the world. Each sip embodies not just exceptional coffee, but a legacy of dedication, sustainability, and the harmonious marriage of land and community.
